Who We Are
Early Beginnings Childcare takes pride in providing care and learning experiences within a setting that offers the best characteristics of a safe and happy home, combined with exceptional professional standards.
We believe in providing a caring, loving and nurturing environment with a wide variety of play and learning opportunities for all children, ensuring that every child is able to develop to their fullest potential, achieving outcomes at their own pace, gaining independence and a positive self-identity.
We believe in a sustainable environment and will seek to awaken in each child an understanding and appreciation of their community’s natural environment and its resources, in order to form the foundations for lifelong values and behaviours to live sustainably.
Our early learning curriculum is built around a play-based program, focussed on the interests of young children and the intentional planning undertaken by educators. We will plan and create play and learning environments that encourage children to explore, problem-solve, create and construct. We hope to create an environment where children can become enthusiastic, inquiring and challenged.
Our education and care service curriculum reflect several key concepts and focus points from the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Belonging, Being and Becoming.
The key principles that guide the EYLF and our own thinking focus on creating an environment where the following are embedded in our practice:
- Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Partnerships with families, children, early childhood educators and community
- High expectations and equity – where every child, family and educator are valued and catered for.
- Respect for diversity – where difference is acknowledged and celebrated in respectful ways that enhance our understanding
- Ongoing learning and reflection – where we as educators take the time to reflect on what and why we do what we do and what might change and why.
Our Educators are active in building strong partnerships with families regarding the ongoing care and education of their children. Parent involvement is encouraged allowing transition from home to the centre to be as smooth as possible.
Early Beginnings Childcare endeavours to provide effective communication between staff and parents by keeping each other informed of their children’s progress through regular OWNA posts, daily communication charts, special meetings, various notice boards and by communicating verbally to each other when the child is dropped off and picked up.
All the educators at Early Beginnings Childcare are committed to their work and to the field of early childhood, understanding the importance of education, care and nurturing in the early years of a child’s life. They will work together as a team and continue to develop professionally through research and training, to maintain the best possible care and educational standards in our service.
